Running as the Freedom of Life 🌿
Running, as one of the most basic human movement patterns, is as old as humanity itself, because if nothing else, we had to survive. 🏃♂️ What’s interesting is that even today, although we are no longer threatened by beasts five times our size, we still have to survive. Today, the beast is represented by the relentless pace of life ⏱️ and by a society that expects more from us than we are sometimes capable of giving. And that is why we need to run or move our bodies in any other way, because it is a multifaceted approach to the longevity we all desire. 🌱
I used to compete, win 🏆 and break records, but at the same time I was a slave to my unrealistic expectations and my ego, which pushed me into an unhealthy addiction. I was trapped in a vicious cycle of addiction to results, likes 👍 and inner battles. Maybe I am getting old, or at least a tiny bit wiser, but my view of physical activity has changed. And when it changed, I started enjoying sports again, I started living again. ✨
The essence of life is to make our moments special, to try to enjoy the time we have been given ⏳ and, despite moderation, to keep moving forward. And we don’t have to be the best to continue making progress. 🌿
That is why I want to say to all of you who run more or less regularly: treat running as a reward 🎁, as a privilege. When you learn to appreciate every kilometre you run, you will be able to take your eyes off your smartwatch ⌚ and look at the beautiful nature that surrounds us. 🌄
And at the same time, you will be able to look within yourself, smile 😊 and thank the universe ✨ for the fact that you are one of the lucky ones who can freely run through this world. 🌍
It is beautiful to run, it is beautiful to live. ❤️🏃♂️
