When Rhythm Finds the Heart 🏃♀️🌿⛰️
My name is Miluša Bošković and I come from Montenegro, from Kotor – a town where the sea and the mountains meet in an almost unreal way 🌊🏔️. I compete in races as a member of the Skyrunning club “Lovćen,” a club named after the mountain that is much more than just a training ground to me – it is my second home.
Although I had been involved in sports and running before, true continuity began in 2015. Before that, there were wishes and training periods that came and went, but work, university, and everyday responsibilities often interrupted the rhythm. I wasn’t able to stay consistent, and without consistency there is no real progress.
Before I started regularly participating in races, I spent a lot of time hiking. Through hiking, I learned to listen to nature, to myself, and to my body. It was there that my love for trail running was born – as a natural continuation of everything I was already feeling 🌿💚. For me, running became the perfect blend of movement, freedom, nature, and inner peace.

Freedom on the Trail and Joy That Grows 🏔️✨
The most beautiful part of running is the feeling of freedom when I’m out on the trail. That moment when I am in harmony with myself, my breathing, and my stride, while mountain views open up before me 🌄. I mostly run in the mountains, where every climb demands strength, but every view gives back so much more.
After training comes that special feeling of happiness and fulfillment 😊 – a quiet joy and self-confidence that builds slowly but surely. Running has taught me patience, acceptance of the process, and faith in myself, even when it’s hard.
Through running, I’ve met wonderful people – people with similar energy and values 🤍. I’ve discovered new places, mountains, and countries that I probably would never have experienced in the same way if I hadn’t been running.
Many wishes I once had are now reality – I’ve had the opportunity to stand at the start line of some of the biggest and most popular races in Europe 🏁🔥. Even more important than the start itself is the fact that I successfully finished those races, carrying with me experiences, emotions, and memories that last forever.
One wish still remains on my list – to run a race in Slovenia. So far, I haven’t participated in any there, but I believe that moment will come. My long-term goal isn’t connected to medals or rankings, but to staying in the world of running for as long as possible – healthy, motivated, and fulfilled ❤️.

Mountains as a Teacher and Intuition as a Compass 🌄🧭💙
My training is diverse and mostly outdoors – I’m a big lover of outdoor activities. City crowds, asphalt, and noise don’t attract me. I prefer silence, rocks, wind, and uneven trails that demand focus and strength.
I often combine running and hiking, and the trails I choose aren’t classic or well-trodden. They are rocky, technically demanding, and very steep 🪨⬆️, leaning more toward skyrunning than pure trail running. I enjoy workouts with plenty of elevation gain, and considering where I live, that’s never a problem.
Above Kotor, a town lying right on the seashore, rises Mount Lovćen, with its highest peak at 1,750 meters above sea level 🌄. That contrast between sea and mountain has shaped my running style as well. Running is my primary activity, but it’s complemented by hiking, cycling 🚴♀️, and in the summer, kayaking 🚣♀️ is indispensable.
To those who are just starting, I would advise perseverance, especially in the beginning. It’s important to set a realistic and achievable goal 🎯 – a race, a challenge, or a personal plan – that will motivate you to train regularly. Small goals often lead to big changes.
I don’t have a classic motto, but I do have principles that guide me through life: I follow my intuition, I do what I truly want, and I do it in a way and to the extent that suits me 🌟. I believe that when you listen to yourself and respect your own rhythm, the path opens on its own.
