🌅 Beginning of my running story
Hello 👋, my name is Luka, I am 34 years old and I come from beautiful Pula 🏖️. I started running exactly one year and one month ago 🕒, and I must admit it was one of the best steps I’ve ever taken for my health and life energy 💪. Honestly, my motivation comes from several things – from the training sessions themselves 🏃♂️, to the races 🏅 and, of course, the results 📈. Although the result isn’t the only thing that drives me, it’s nice to see how hard work slowly yields its fruits 🍀.
In the beginning, I didn’t have much experience and I knew very little about proper training 🤔. Every workout was a small adventure 🗺️, a combination of learning and exploring my own limits. Sometimes I felt tired 😓 or demotivated 😕, but every kilometer I ran gave me the feeling that I was making progress 🏃♂️✨. Bit by bit, over time I learned how to schedule workouts properly 📅, how to listen to my body 🧘, and how to set realistic goals 🎯. In that phase, the most important thing was just to get started and enjoy every moment 🌄 – and it was precisely that feeling of freedom and satisfaction that kept me motivated to keep going 💛.
Besides physical progress, running also brought me mental strength 🧠. Every time I hit the track, every kilometer, and every breath taught me patience ⏳, focusing on the present moment 🌸, and the joy of small successes 🥰. Even when the day was tough or I had a bad workout, the feeling that I still went out and gave it my best was priceless 💖.

🏃♂️ Workouts, routine, and achievements
Over the past year I managed to achieve good results 🏅. Of course, every progress was the result of continuous work 💪 and discipline, as well as the support of the people around me 👥 – coaches, friends, and all those who share the same passion for running 🏃♂️💨. Although I am happy with what I have achieved, I am aware that the next steps will be much more challenging ⚡. Making progress after certain results is always harder, but the process is long ⏳ and every day you learn how to give your best 💯.
My weekly training schedule is relatively intense 📅 – I run 5-6 times a week 🏃♂️, and twice a week I go to the gym 🏋️ to work on strength, mobility, and explosiveness ⚡. That helps me keep my body ready for more demanding races 🏁, prevent injuries 🩹, and feel energy and strength in every step 💥. Every workout has its goal 🎯 – whether the focus is on speed 🏎️, endurance 💪, technical execution 🔧, or simply on enjoying the run 🌿. Races are a special part of the whole process 🏅.
Every race brings a new dose of adrenaline ⚡ and experience 🧭. It’s not always about being first 🥇, but about testing my limits 🌄 and learning from every situation 📚. The results are obviously important 📈, but more than that I value the feeling of achievement ✨, the togetherness with other runners 🤝, and the sheer joy of running ❤️. Successes come slowly ⏳, and even though they aren’t always spectacular 🌤️, every bit of progress gives extra motivation for the next workout 💪.

🌟 Looking to the future and advice for beginners
Ahead of me now are more serious races in 2026 🗓️, including the Croatian Championship 🇭🇷, where I will have the opportunity to compete against more elite and experienced runners 🏃♂️🏅. My goal for the end of the year is to run 5 kilometers under 18 minutes ⏱️ and 10 kilometers around 37-38 minutes 🏁. Even though these are ambitious goals 🌟, I am motivated more by the process itself 🔄 and the fact that I give my best every day 💯. Every workout, every race, and every kilometer prepares me for new challenges 🚀.
To everyone who wants to start running, I would say one thing – just get started and enjoy! 😄 It doesn’t matter whether you are a beginner 🐣 or a professional 🏆, fast ⚡ or slower 🐢. What matters is that you move 🏃♂️ and feel joy in the movement itself 🌸. Even if you run alone or in company 👥, it is important to connect with yourself and the nature around you 🌳. Results and progress will come with time ⏳, but the most important thing is to enjoy every moment 💖 and be consistent 🏃♂️💨.
Running has taught me a lot – patience ⏳, discipline 💪, the joy of small successes 🥰, and accepting my own limits 🛑. Every kilometer is an opportunity to learn and grow 🌱, and every workout a reminder of why I started 💛. Even though challenging races 🏁 and ambitious goals lie ahead 🌟, what brings me the most joy is the feeling of freedom and happiness that running brings into my life 🌞🏃♂️.
