How I Found Myself Through Running 🏃♀️✨
My name is Sonja, I come from Josipdol, and I am 32 years old. 👋 I am a mother of four 👶👧👦👦 and a physiotherapist by profession. 🩺 Sport has always been a part of my life – from an early age I practiced gymnastics and handball 🤸♀️🤾♀️. Movement was never foreign to me, but life – as it does for many – brought changes. 🌪️
After giving birth, my physical activity gradually decreased. 😔 I devoted myself completely to my children and family, and slowly, almost unnoticed, I placed myself last. Fatigue, lack of energy, and poor psycho-physical well-being became part of everyday life. 💤
The First Step – Literally 👣
Four months ago, I reached a point where I realized I no longer felt good – neither in my body nor in my mind. 😟 I didn’t have a big plan or a specific goal. Just a need to change something. 🔄
I started simply – with walking 🚶♀️. Then I added light jogging 🏃♀️. Step by step. No pressure, no expectations. And something happened that I hadn’t planned – running became a habit. 💪 And not just any habit, but a good, healthy one that pulls you forward. 🌟
Today, I can’t stop. 🏃♀️💨

Running as Therapy 🧘♀️
For me, running is not competition, not chasing kilometers or time. ⏱️ It’s my outlet. A time when I release everything negative, clear my mind, and regain inner peace. 🌿
After every run, I feel lighter, calmer, and stronger. ✨ My physical appearance has changed, but most importantly – I have changed on the inside. 💖 As a physiotherapist, I know how important movement is for the body, but now from personal experience I also know how much it means for the mind. 🧠💪

Nature Instead of the Gym 🌳☀️
I’m not a gym person. Closed spaces don’t suit me. ❌🏋️♀️ Running outdoors fits perfectly into my life – fresh air, sunshine, nature, and silence. 🌬️🌞🌲 In those moments, it’s just me and my steps. 👣 In a way, I gave myself back to myself. 💫
No Big Goals, but a Big Impact 💚
I don’t have specific goals in running. I’m not chasing medals or races 🏅🚫. This is my recreation, my way of taking care of myself, and something I never want to stop doing. 🌸 Because I know how much it gives me – health, strength, and balance. ⚖️
To everyone who doesn’t feel good in their body, who struggles with bad habits or extra weight, I have one message: start tomorrow. 💌
You don’t need perfect equipment, a plan, or motivation. ✨ Twenty minutes a day is enough. 🕒 Over time, your body will start wanting more on its own. 💪
Actions, Not Words 💯
My life motto is:
ACTA NON VERBA – Actions, not words. ✨
Because change doesn’t come from promises, but from the first step. 👣 And sometimes that first step leads – straight back to ourselves. 💖
